Utility Services
The City of Forsan provides municipal water service to residents and eligible properties within the city limits.
Our utility services include:
Residential water service
New utility account setup
Water service transfers
Water service disconnections
Utility billing

Water Rates and Fees
Residential base rate: $25.00 up to 2,000 gallons
Water usage rates:
2,001 – 5,000 gallons $2.50 per thousand gallons.
5,001 – 8,000 gallons $3.00 per thousand gallons.
8,001 – 10,000 gallons $8.25 per thousand gallons.
10,001 gallons or more $12.25 per thousand gallons water service.
New service deposit (Refundable):
$100.00 – Residential Customer: must own real property and improvements.
$125.00 – Rental Property: real property or improvements are rented.
$150.00 – Nonresidential Customers: commercial businesses both owned or rented by applicant. This includes RV hookups at the rate of one deposit per active meter.
Reconnection fees:
The following fees will be paid in full, on or before reconnection of Services. Occurrences are evaluated on a calendar year per last disconnection.
First occurrence - $25.00
Second occurrence - $50.00
Third occurrence - $75.00
Fourth occurrence or more - $100.00
After hour services will be an additional $40.00
Late payment fees:
All accounts are due and payable on or before the 20th of each month.
Accounts are past due on the 21st of each month.
Past due notices will be mailed by the 21st of each month with a late fee of $10.00 being assessed.
Accounts will need to be paid in full by the 28th of each month.
Accounts will be considered past due on the 28th of each month and will result in disconnection of services.
Due dates that fall on a weekend or holiday will progress to the following scheduled business day.
Billing Information
Utility bills are issued on or before the last day of the month.

By Mail
Payments received after the due date may be subject to applicable late fees in accordance with City policies.
Water Emergencies
If you experience a water leak, water outage, or another utility emergency, please contact City Hall immediately during normal business hours or for after-hours emergencies.
